Journey beyond our galaxy with Erothyme's latest single, Pinpoint Sol, the first tantalizing track off the upcoming 2024 LP, "Life Sidereal".

Behind The Sky Music is thrilled to introduce listeners to the ethereal universe of "Pinpoint Sol" - a prelude to Erothyme's much-anticipated album "Life Sidereal".

Crafted during Erothyme's initial exploration into modular and analogue synthesis under the aegis of Bluetech, "Life Sidereal" is a magnum opus that seamlessly melds analogue, modular synth recordings with acoustic melodies, ambient field-recording, sound design, and crisp digital elements. This symphony is not just music; it's a canvas painted with a rich and diverse sonic palette. Making the release even more special are several guest musical maestros who lend their genius remixing the single: Kaya Project, Encounters and PheuZen.

"Life Sidereal" encapsulates a grand narrative: an odyssey through the boundless expanse of interstellar space towards a distant celestial body. "Pinpoint Sol" beautifully evokes the poignant emotion of perceiving our home star, Sol, as a mere glint in the night sky, yet feeling profoundly tethered to its luminous heart. It delves deep, exploring the cosmic connection - as if one were a fragment of Sol itself, reaching out in kinship, or as though a mere speck of its radiant essence illuminated one's very soul.

The track is graced by Bluetech's very own ARP Odyssey, which forms its backbone, generously lent to Erothyme for this project. Recorded in a spontaneous jam session, the core ARP Odyssey pattern flows through "Pinpoint Sol", metamorphosing as it progresses. Erothyme's dexterity is further showcased with the inclusion of the baby grand piano from Craftal's abode, accompanied by sounds from the Korg Minilogue, Fender Rhodes, and a sprinkle of digital synthesis. The percussion, a symphony in itself, amalgamates both digital and acoustic rhythms, taking listeners on an unparalleled sonic adventure.

I love this record A LOT. Every track. I have different favourites for different activities/times of day, and I listen to the whole album while running: it’s my new favourite soundtrack. If I have to choose just one fave, it’s the Bluetech remix of Steve Moore’s Gutter Talk, it’s an absolute belter. But honestly the whole thing is sublime. Cheers folks! emmaseymour
